A 180 W LED endoscopic light source that replaces a 300 W xenon lamp with no practical loss of illumination, and with a set of advantages that make the substitution straightforward.
The LED is rated beyond 50,000 hours against roughly 500 for a xenon bulb. In practice that converts a consumable into a fixture: no bulb stock, no lamp-hour tracking, and no procedure interrupted by a failed lamp. Colour temperature is a fixed 6000 K, close to daylight, so tissue colour stays consistent as output is dimmed — xenon shifts as it ages, LED does not.
It also runs far cooler, which reduces the burn risk at the light-cable tip that every theatre using xenon has to manage.
Output is set on a touch screen with electronic dimming across the full 1–100% range, and used hours are displayed. Forced-air cooling with automatic over-temperature shutdown. Accepts Storz-fitting fibre-optic cables, with other fittings available.

No more bulb changes

Is 180 W LED really equivalent to a 300 W xenon lamp?

AIn practical output, yes. LED converts far more of its power into usable light rather than heat, so the wattage figures are not directly comparable. Users replacing a 300 W xenon generally report no loss of illumination.

AIt is supplied with a Storz fitting as standard, which covers most cables in use. Other fittings are available — tell us what you have and we will supply the correct connector.

AIt is rated beyond 50,000 hours. At typical theatre use that is effectively the service life of the unit — it converts the lamp from a consumable into a fixture.

What size vessels can the generator seal?

Does the generator need a special footswitch?
