A ligature carrier used to pass suture around tissue that a conventional needle holder cannot reach cleanly. The right-hand curve suits approach from the patient's right side in vaginal and pelvic-floor work.
The hook is ground to a fine eye that carries the suture without fraying it, and the shaft is stiff enough to push through dense paravaginal tissue without deflecting off line. The moulded grip is knurled to stay controllable when gloves are wet — a small detail that matters when the operative field is deep and the working angle is awkward.
Stainless steel construction, fully autoclavable. Supplied as a matched pair with the left-curved pattern where a bilateral repair is planned.

AIt is a reusable stainless steel instrument and is fully autoclavable. It is supplied non-sterile and must be sterilised before first use.

AThe eye is sized for the suture materials normally used in pelvic-floor and vaginal repair. If you are using an unusually heavy suture, tell us the gauge and we will confirm it will pass without binding.

Should I buy the right and left patterns together?

AFor bilateral procedures, yes. Most pelvic-floor repairs are bilateral and working the wrong-handed curve across the midline is awkward in a deep field. The pair is normally bought and stocked together.

What is the difference between the curved and the right or left patterns?

AThe right and left patterns have a full hook for reaching around structures from each side. The curved pattern has a shallower arc for narrower corridors where a full hook would bind before the tip comes round. The straight has no curve at all, for direct head-on passes.

Is the handle bonded to the shaft or can it come loose?

AThe handle is permanently bonded and is not intended to be removed. It has been tested through repeated autoclave cycles without loosening.
